Find out for yourself as author/illustrator Elise Parsley shares the basics ofView More: picture books for writers and illustrators. She'll share the crucial components of these seemingly simple books, such as story length, story topics, intended audience, how to find an illustrator, how to be an illustrator, character arc, story arc, pacing, rhyme, and prose. There will also be time for Q&A at the end.
Elise Parsley is the author/illustrator of three picture books published by Little Brown: If You Ever Want to Bring an Alligator to School, Don't! (2015), If You Ever Want to Bring a Piano to the Beach, Don't! (2016), and the just released If You Ever Want to Bring a Circus to the Library, Don't! (2017) She also illustrated The Magic Word, written by Mac Barnett and published by Balzer & Bray. She lives in Beresford, South Dakota.
