An Illustration Webinar sponsored by Dakotas SCBWI

Join picture book illustrator/author and graphic novelist Matt Faulkner in this exciting illustration webinar in which he will address the core issues in developing an illustrative style that catches the eye and captures the heart! Matt will share the illustration process’ which he’s developed for his university level course: designing dynamic characters and environments, developing a sketch process that yields a satisfying underlying structure for potent final art, creating a dummy layout that expresses the written narrative yet adds a vibrant visual that takes the word beyond the expected, understanding and applying the essential qualities of color — and much more. Give yourself and your illustration process a boost by attending this informative workshop!

Consider also attending Matt’s 2nd webinar: “The Stories Behind Your Story” on April 16, which focuses on picture book text.
